Husky Safari in Riisitunturi National Park - 30 km
POSIO

NOV-APR
After you have learned a little bit more about huskies’ psyche and how to control a team of dogs we’ll head into Riisitunturi National Park. On this 30 km husky safari through the ancient forests of Riisitunturi National Park, we move in near silence, broken only by the soft crunch of the dogs’ paws in the snow. The snow-laden spruces are even several centuries old, giving the landscape a timeless, almost untouched feel.
Halfway through, we’ll prepare a delicious lunch over an open fire, followed by coffee or tea for dessert. After that, we’ll continue our adventure with full stomachs. Once we return to the husky farm, it’s time to reward the dogs with praise and plenty of scratches.
Length of the trip is approximately 30 km.
All husky experiences are small-scale and responsible – the dogs’ wellbeing is always the top priority.
